Just because October is finally here, doesn’t mean Lake Life has to end. To us, fall is the start of new beginnings and adventures. Before the snow falls and temperatures drop too low, it’s a chance to embrace the best Lake Geneva has to offer. From strolling through pumpkin patches to seeing fall colors from the water, we’re ready for what this time of year has to offer.
While the start of fall does mean we will begin reducing our tours, some of the best tours, in our opinion, happen now. There’s something different about learning the history of the lake and its homes while scanning the horizon to take in the fall colors and sipping on a warm hot chocolate on a cool, cozy day. If you’re not one for cold weather, all our boats have climate-controlled seating areas to keep you warm.
A Night of Tales
To experience the full moon in October, we’re offering a special, spooky cruise just in time for Halloween. Along with a lake cruise, our Poe At The Point tour encompasses a dramatic reading of Edgar Allan Poe stories in the parlor of Black Point Estate. Following a discussion about Poe’s life and death, guests will get a rare chance to explore Black Point Estate with a complimentary glass of wine.
The cruise departs from Lake Geneva at 5:30 PM, arriving at Black Point Estate by 6:15 PM. Guests will depart from the estate at 7:45 PM, with the cruise returning to Lake Geneva by 8:30 PM. The program runs from 6:30 to 7:40 PM, featuring dramatic readings (approximately 45 minutes), followed by a Q&A session and an opportunity to explore the first floor of the Estate.
