Reintroducing Our Fleet: A Journey Through our Boats

Step aboard and journey through the history and beauty of Lake Geneva with Lake Geneva Cruise Line. Our fleet of eight stunning boats offers a unique experience, from the elegant charm of the Yacht Polaris, crafted in 1898, to the sleek sophistication of our newest addition, the Duchess, launched in 2006. Each vessel in our fleet tells a story, providing visitors with a remarkable way to explore the lake’s rich past while soaking in its scenic views. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing cruise or a memorable event, our fleet promises a one-of-a-kind adventure on the waters of Lake Geneva.

Lady of the Lake

Since her launch in 1963, the Lady of the Lake has proudly served as the flagship of our fleet, embodying the elegance and charm of America’s Steamboat Era. Over the years, she has seen a few modifications, including an extension of 15 feet in 1971 and, at one time, a unique “opera hole” on the second deck to allow guests on both levels to enjoy live performances together. The Lady’s spacious decks create a stunning setting for any occasion, from weddings to themed parties, corporate events, and family celebrations. Her main deck is fully enclosed and climate-controlled, while the open-air second deck can be enclosed with clear curtains for added comfort on cool evenings.

Grand Belle of Geneva

The Belle has seen a few transformations over the years, including a lengthening in 1986, a widening in 2003, and the addition of a new upper deck structure to enhance dining comfort on the second level. Designed in the style of early 20th-century steamers, the Grand Belle of Geneva exudes charm with brass accents and pine decking, offering a spacious yet inviting atmosphere for you and your guests. The main deck and part of the upper deck are enclosed and climate-controlled, while the open bow and stern invite you to enjoy the fresh air and scenic beauty of Lake Geneva.

Walworth – US Mailboat

Originally featuring an open upper deck, the Walworth was lengthened and fitted with a canopy in 1976 to provide shade for passengers on sunny summer days and was later widened in 2016. Known as the U.S. Mailboat, the Walworth offers a unique blend of comfort and tradition. The main and aft decks are fully enclosed and climate-controlled, while the open upper deck allows guests to enjoy the fresh lake breeze, with clear side curtains available for cooler weather. This versatile vessel provides an ideal setting for special events, including weddings, anniversary celebrations, and business gatherings.

Duchess

Originally equipped with a gang plank and paddlewheel, the Duchess was modified over time to enhance efficiency and performance. As a smaller counterpart to the Lady of the Lake, the Duchess is perfect for cocktail, lunch, and dinner cruises, as well as weddings, anniversaries, and business gatherings.

Steam Yacht Louise

Originally built in 1902 for John and Louise Mitchell, the Louise joined the excursion fleet in 1930. Converted from steam to gas over the years, she was completely restored between 1975 and 1978, and a 1926 Plenty and Sons steam engine was installed, making her the only lake steam yacht still powered by steam. The beautifully restored Steam Yacht Louise lets guests experience the elegance of Lake Geneva’s Golden Era, with polished brass, gleaming mahogany, and the captivating hum of a vintage steam engine. The Louise features two decks with clear side curtains for variable weather, plus an enclosed cabin with a wet bar and restroom for added comfort.

Lake Yacht Polaris

Constructed in 1898 for Otto and Olivett Young, the Yacht Polaris has a rich history, having been owned for a decade each by Frederick Bartlett and Robert Tarrant before joining our fleet. Today, she stands as the oldest boat on Lake Geneva. Aboard the Polaris, you and your guests can immerse yourselves in the luxurious lifestyle of the late 19th century, surrounded by original mahogany and brass details. The deck is open to the refreshing lake breeze, featuring an authentic canopy and side curtains for inclement weather. Inside, the cabin area includes a restroom and a brass-topped bar for your comfort and enjoyment.

Geneva

Originally a troop transport for the USS Saratoga, the Geneva served in the Mediterranean Sea and during the Vietnam War, capable of carrying 150 passengers and crew. Today, she has been transformed to provide comfortable amenities for up to 50 passengers. Fun and affordable, the 50-foot motor launch has been fully restored, offering a fantastic way to enjoy boating on Lake Geneva. The Geneva now features a bar and restroom, along with a streamlined canopy and clear side curtains to ensure a pleasant experience, even in inclement weather.

Lorelei

Originally brought to Milwaukee in 1954, the Lorelei was utilized on the Great Lakes before being discovered in a warehouse near Green Bay. Lake Geneva Cruise Line acquired the boat in 1981 and refitted her cabin to create an ideal setting for a relaxing day on the lake. This 41-foot cabin cruiser, built in Holland, is perfect for an intimate cruise for two, a shuttle to your favorite restaurant, or a casual outing for up to 14 passengers. With elegant teakwood decks and mahogany trim, the Lorelei combines sophistication with style, while her sleek hull ensures a smooth ride for you and your guests. Equipped with a wet bar and restroom, the Lorelei is available on short notice and makes a stunning addition to our fleet.
